How do we get someone\u2019s attention in the midst of this storm of information? We advocate the simple handwritten or typed letter as a powerful missive to break through the clatter and confusion of our mega information world. That doesn\u2019t necessarily mean a scented envelope, or embossed stationery \u2013 just a simple thoughtful handwritten or typed letter, encased in an envelope, and sent by the postal service. In our digital world that type of communication stands out and signals the consequential. It is communicative power.<\/p>\n

My father wrote thousands of letters in his lifetime, all with an old fashioned fountain pen. He was a great and effective communicator. This book not only advocates written communication, but honors him for a lifetime of service to his church, his country, and his family.
